BBI impact factor increases to 3.52

The ISI Web of Knowledge just released the 2005 impact factor for all journals. Brain, Behavior, and Immunity rose from its 2004 impact factor of 2.937 to a 2005 level 3.520. This event marks the first time the impact factor for the journal has risen above 3.0. The journal now ranks 58 out of 200 neuroscience titles, and 30 out of 115 immunology titles. The graph below shows the steady increase in impact factor of the journal since 2000, which was the year that Brain, Behavior, and Immunity became the official journal of the PsychoNeuroImmunology Research Society. Your journal continues to be, "the best immunology journal with neuroscience in the title."

On behalf of Drs. Sanders, Irwin and Dantzer, as well as the journal management team at Elsevier, I thank the members of PNIRS for their continued support of the official journal of their society. Have an enjoyable summer.
