ARTICLE I - Membership

Section 1. Procedure for Membership. Candidates for membership shall be nominated by any combination of two of the regular or emeritus members of The Society on forms furnished by the Secretary/Treasurer or provided at an official PNIRS website. An application form will be provided by the Secretary/Treasurer on request of an applicant or on request of a member for a suggested member. Application should be returned to the Secretary/Treasurer. Applications for membership must include payment of the appropriate annual dues. Completed applications will be reviewed by the Membership committee. Their recommendation, based on majority vote, will be forwarded to the Council. Council will then provide the names of recommended members to the entire membership for vote. Regular, student, and honorary members will be elected by majority vote of the membership at a regular business meeting of the society.
