ARTICLE II - Purposes and Powers

Section 2.1. The Society will have the purposes or powers as stated in its Articles of Incorporation, and whatever powers are or may be granted by the Nonprofit Society Law of 1988 of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or any successor legislation. Said corporation is organized exclusively for scientific purposes, including facilitation of the interchange of ideas and information among workers in the field, promotion and encouragement of excellence in research and contributions to the improvement of the health and welfare of the public and including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code (or the corresponding section of any future Federal tax code).
