Job Description

Full time, 100%, non-tenured faculty position. Duties include maintenance of cell cultures for the analysis of endocrine resistance induced by pro-inflammatory cytokines. Design and implement experiments to define the role of endocrine resistance in cachexia and the behavioral changes that parallel this physiological response using animal models. As a professional, work independently and collaboratively with faculty to obtain research funding to support a research program.  Oversee and coordinate the activities of a small group of graduate students and undergraduate assistants. Work as a member of a team to promote the careers and training of junior faculty/staff, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students. Present findings at professional meetings and publish papers in peer-reviewed journals.
