Ning is a Professor in the Department of Biosciences and the Institute for Behavioral Medicine Research at The Ohio State University, having earned his B.S. degree in China and Ph.D. at University of Tennessee-Memphis. He is an expert in cell biology, gene expression and molecular neurobiology.
