The PsychoNeuroImmunology Research Society is an international organization for researchers in a number of scientific and medical disciplines including psychology, neurosciences, immunology, pharmacology, psychiatry, behavioral medicine, infectious diseases, endocrinology and rheumatology, who are interested in interactions between the nervous system and the immune system, and the relationship between behavior and health. 

 

2026 Annual Meeting

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the recent PNIRS Annual Meeting in New Orleans! We are grateful to our speakers, presenters, attendees, exhibitor, and volunteers for making this year's meeting an outstanding opportunity to share groundbreaking research, foster new collaborations, and strengthen the global psychoneuroimmunology community.

The Annual Meeting continues to serve as the premier forum for advancing PNI research s while supporting the next generation of investigators through education, networking, and mentorship.

Individuals who join the within the last quarter of the year will not be billed for dues in the New Year. This does not apply to previous members.

New Society Sponsored Journal: Brain, Behavior and Immunity - Integrative

In an effort to promote Eastern biomedical research focused on psychoneuroimmunology, as sister journal to Brain, Behavior, and Immunity, which currently has an impact factor of 19.2, was recently launched called Brain, Behavior, and Immunity – Integrative. Professors Weiwen Wang at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Liye Zou at Shenzhen University and Keith Kelley at the University of Illinois were instrumental in launching the new journal and will serve as Associate Editors.

President's Message - April 2026

Dear PNIRS Community,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share several important updates and opportunities for engagement within our community.

First, I want to highlight our upcoming annual meeting, which will take place June 22-25 in New Orleans, Louisiana. We would truly love to see you there this year. With so much happening in the world around us, it can be tempting to step back and wait for the dust to settle. However, if we want the values we care deeply about--especially the advancement of science--to remain strong, this is precisely the time to step forward, engage, and support one another.

Our annual meeting is where we come together to do what we do best: share, challenge, and advance science. A strong turnout is not only vital for the intellectual energy of the meeting but also critical to the financial health of the Society. Your participation truly matters.
